About Sean

Dr. Sean X. Zhang is an Ontario lawyer and partner in the Intellectual Property practice group at Dale & Lessmann LLP. He's a registered patent agent before both the Canadian Intellectual Property Office and the US Patent and Trademark Office, and a registered trademark agent with CIPO. His work covers patent drafting and prosecution, patentability opinions, trademark applications and oppositions, industrial design filings, and infringement and validity matters, with experience across electrical, optical, mechanical and software technologies in fields such as automotive, healthcare, information and communications technology, and manufacturing automation. Sean maintains an active China-related practice, advising Chinese clients on their business interests in Canada, including commercial, corporate, and immigration matters, as well as cross-border transactions and investments. He holds a JD from the University of Toronto and is fluent in both English and Chinese.
