About Sarah
Sarah Barker is a partner at Carbert Waite LLP, appointed to the partnership effective January 1, 2026. She summered and articled with the firm before being called to the Alberta bar in 2018, and practises primarily in health law and estate litigation, appearing before all levels of the Alberta courts. In her health law practice she represents healthcare institutions and other health professionals on complex issues including medical malpractice defence, and she also assists clients with estate planning and administration. She earned a Bachelor of Commerce in Marketing from the University of Calgary in 2013 and her JD there in 2017, and volunteers with the Canadian Bar Association and Pro Bono Law Alberta.
