About Janice

Janice Bruni has practiced law in Calgary for more than 40 years, with a focus on planning for the transfer of assets on death, incapacity issues, and protecting the interests of elderly clients. She represents executors, beneficiaries, and claimants in estate matters and has been appointed by Alberta courts to act as amicus curiae and as a trustee for a limited purpose to protect the interests of adults who lack capacity. She helps clients prepare wills, enduring powers of attorney, and personal directives, with particular experience assisting families of children with special needs plan for the future. She holds the King's Counsel (K.C.) designation and now serves as Counsel at Bruni Law, mentoring and supporting the firm's legal team.
