About Samuel
Sam heads the Family Law Department at CARREL+Partners LLP and has practised family law in Thunder Bay for more than 20 years, appearing before every level of court in Ontario including the Court of Appeal. He handles separation agreements, divorce, child and spousal support, business valuations, pension division and property division, and has also previously represented clients in criminal law and civil litigation matters. Sam earned an Honours Bachelor of Commerce from Lakehead University in 1986 and a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Victoria in 1989, and was called to the bar of Ontario in 1991. He has served as the Ontario Bar Association's Director for the Northwest Region since 2012 and as a past president and director of the Thunder Bay Law Association, and coaches in the Northwood Hockey League.
