About Mikaila
Mikaila advises clients on making estate plans and administering the estates of others, having started her career with CARREL+Partners LLP in 2014 as a legal assistant to two lawyers in wills and estates before becoming a lawyer herself. During law school she gained experience through the Queen's Prison Law Clinic, representing federal inmates before disciplinary tribunals and the Parole Board of Canada, and now applies those advocacy skills in civil matters. She earned an Honours Bachelor of Science in Biology with first-class standing from Lakehead University in 2014 and her JD from Queen's Faculty of Law in 2020, and was called to the Ontario bar in 2021.
