About Samita

Samita K. Ahmad is a partner in Paul, Weiss's Capital Markets Group in New York, advising private equity firms, investment banks, and public and private companies on debt and equity transactions, compliance matters, M&A, and restructurings. Her work spans leveraged buyouts, high-yield and investment-grade debt offerings, convertible securities, IPOs, and other equity transactions, along with SEC reporting and corporate governance advice, including emerging ESG and DEI frameworks. She also handles syndicated loan financings, cross-border restructurings of distressed businesses, and liability management transactions. Samita holds a JD from the University of Chicago Law School and a BA from Johns Hopkins University, and is admitted to practice in New York, Maryland, and the District of Columbia.
