Samantha has litigated at every court level in British Columbia and appeared before numerous regulatory bodies, among them the BC Securities Commission, the College of Massage Therapists of BC, the College of Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioners and Acupuncturists of BC, and the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of BC. Samantha's criminal law work spans a broad range of offences, among them assault, sexual assault, drug charges, and white-collar crime; she also handles immediate roadside and administrative driving prohibition cases, assists with appeals alleging ineffective assistance of counsel, and volunteers with UBC's Innocence Project. On the civil and commercial side, Samantha has achieved favourable outcomes for clients in matters involving breach of trust and fiduciary duty, contract breaches, and disputes among employers, shareholders, and trademark holders. Samantha earned her JD at the University of Victoria in 2016, gaining recognition there for her achievements in criminal law and for representing the school at the MacIntyre Cup; she also holds a BA (Hons) in criminology from Simon Fraser University (2013). She was called to the British Columbia bar in 2017.
