About Emma
Emma Stirling's work centers on natural resource development tied to major projects, along with environmental law, energy regulation and Indigenous and administrative law matters. She has represented developers of electricity and natural resource projects seeking regulatory approvals, supporting work in the solar, battery storage, transmission and pipeline sectors, and has assisted with matters before the Canada Energy Regulator and the Alberta Utilities Commission. Stirling earned her Juris Doctor with distinction from the University of Alberta in 2024, where she volunteered with Student Legal Services and the Women's Law Forum and competed on the school's mooting team. She also holds two Bachelor of Arts degrees, in art history and in history, from the University of Calgary. Before joining Osler, she clerked at the Court of King's Bench in Calgary.
