About Beth
Beth Friesen joined Edelmann & Co. in 2024 and works primarily in litigation and contested cases in criminal defence, immigration and refugee law, and appeals. Friesen graduated from McGill University's Faculty of Law with a Juris Doctor and Bachelor of Civil Law in 2020 and comes to British Columbia from Manitoba, where she was called to the bar in 2022. Friesen's cases include opposing deportation, stays of removal, detention reviews, refugee protection and pre-removal risk assessment, and she has argued before the Provincial and Superior Courts, the BC Court of Appeal, the Refugee Protection and Immigration Divisions, and the Federal Court.
