About Andi

Andi MacKay, K.C. is a co-founder of MacKay Boyar Law Corporation and a trial lawyer with a broad litigation practice combining criminal and commercial matters. Benchmark Litigation recognizes her as a Litigation Star, noting her experience in criminal cases involving allegations of ineffective assistance of counsel. She serves as a Special Prosecutor in criminal cases and has served the Canadian Judicial Council on a Reduced Hearing Panel involving a justice of the Superior Court of Ontario. Her corporate clients have included the Doctors of British Columbia, the Lawyers Insurance Fund, and the Law Society of British Columbia. Andi is a member of the faculty of the National Criminal Law Program, a lecturer at the Allan McEachern Advocacy Course, and a frequent lecturer for continuing legal education programs, as well as a contributing author of textbooks on evidentiary issues. She obtained her LL.B. from the University of British Columbia in 1999 and was called to the British Columbia bar in 2000.
