About Sam
Sam Fata is an associate in the corporate and commercial group at Sotos LLP, where his practice covers corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions, securities and commercial law. He has advised clients across a range of industries, including technology, manufacturing, mining, agribusiness, entertainment, artificial intelligence and consumer goods. Sam earned his Juris Doctor at Queen's University, where he received the David Mullan Scholarship and the Queen's Law Course Prize in Contracts, worked as a teaching assistant for undergraduate business and employment law courses, and volunteered as a caseworker at the Queen's Business Law Clinic. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce with high distinction from the Rotman Commerce program at the University of Toronto and was called to the bar in 2023. He previously practiced as an associate at another prominent Canadian firm.
