About Saif
Saif Hashmi is an associate practising construction law, advising clients through disputes on ongoing projects and representing them in litigation, arbitration and adjudications under the Construction Act, in addition to drafting and reviewing construction and design contracts. Before joining the firm he worked as a caseworker at a legal clinic helping investors of limited means navigate the legal system. Saif studied civil engineering at the University of Waterloo before law school and has worked at both engineering consulting firms and construction management companies, giving him a technical grounding in the projects he now advises on. He earned his J.D. from Osgoode Hall Law School in 2024, where he was a research assistant on corporate governance issues, his B.A.Sc. from the University of Waterloo in 2021, and was called to the Ontario bar in 2025.
