About Ryan
Ryan W. O. Chan practises broad civil litigation and administrative law, handling commercial and shareholder disputes, product liability claims, and professional regulatory and liability matters. He has appeared before every level of court in Ontario as well as the Supreme Court of Canada. Beyond his litigation practice, Ryan is a social advocate who focuses on issues such as social media regulation, online harms, and hate crimes, and his commentary has appeared in outlets like the CBC, the Globe and Mail, and the Toronto Star. He earned his J.D. from the University of Toronto Faculty of Law in 2021 and his B.A. with honours from the University of Toronto in 2018, and was called to the Ontario Bar in 2022. Ryan belongs to several organizations, including the Chinese Canadian National Council for Social Justice, the Toronto Lawyers Association, The Advocates' Society, and the Federation of Asian Canadian Lawyers.
