About Ryan

Ryan Lapensee is a partner with broad experience in complex securities and commercial disputes, including regulatory investigations and prosecutions, proxy battles, shareholder disputes, special investigations and white-collar crime. Before joining the firm, Ryan worked as a litigator in the Enforcement Branch of the Ontario Securities Commission, where he pursued cases involving fraud, insider trading, market manipulation and misleading disclosure. He completed the combined Juris Doctor and Bachelor of Engineering Science program at Western University, specializing in Software Engineering, and volunteered at Western Law's legal clinic on criminal defence and civil matters during school. Ryan was called to the Ontario Bar in 2019.
