About Ryan

Ryan Darby was called to the British Columbia bar in 1993 and the Alberta bar in 2017. He litigates insurance defence, professional liability, construction disputes, and complex multi-party matters, and has tried cases before the British Columbia Supreme Court, the BC Court of Appeal, and the Supreme Court of Canada, as well as administrative tribunals. His practice emphasizes practical strategies for moving files toward resolution and includes negotiations and mediations involving professional liability, construction, employment, land use, all-risk policies, and product liability. He is a member of the Canadian Bar Association's Civil Litigation, Insurance Law, and Construction Law sections, the Calgary Construction Association, and the Construction Lawyers Society of America.
