About Ruth

Ruth Kalnitsky Roth is a partner in the Family Law Group at Torkin Manes, where she has practiced family law for nearly 20 years. Her work centers on complex litigation for high-net-worth families and international disputes, particularly cases involving child abduction under both Hague and non-Hague conventions. She has appeared in trials and appeals at nearly every level of court and is experienced in negotiation, mediation, and arbitration. Ruth earned her JD from Golden Gate University in 2006 and a BA from Brandeis University in 2003. She belongs to the State Bar of California, the Northern District of California federal bar, and the Washington D.C. Bar, and was called to the Ontario Bar in 2019. She is a Fellow of the International Academy of Family Lawyers and volunteers with Pro Bono Students Canada.
