About Adam
Adam Black chairs Torkin Manes' Family Law Group and represents clients in divorce, parenting, property, support, and domestic contract matters, often involving high-net-worth clients with complex financial and jurisdictional issues. He acts for clients in mediation, arbitration, and before the courts at trial and appellate levels, and in 2020 was appointed a Dispute Resolution Officer of the Superior Court of Justice in Toronto. He writes a column for the National Post and has authored chapters on support and family law contracts for Thomson Reuters and Lexis Nexis. Adam is a Fellow of the International Academy of Family Lawyers and co-directs the Osgoode Certificate in Family Law Skills and Practice, where he has taught since its inception. He was called to the Ontario Bar in 2007 and holds an LLB from Queen's University and a BComm from Toronto Metropolitan University.
