About Gary
Gary Gottlieb has practised family law since his call to the Ontario Bar in 1987, with a focus restricted to family, divorce, and child protection litigation as well as mediation and arbitration. His cases take him regularly to the Ontario Court of Justice and the Superior Court of Justice, and he is known for handling high-conflict matters and cross-examining effectively. Beyond appearing as counsel, he often serves as the mediator or arbitrator himself, valued for being fair, reasonable, and creative in resolving disputes. He has worked with lawyers and child protection workers connected to numerous Children's Aid Societies and has served for many years as a Panel Member of the Office of the Children's Lawyer. Gary also teaches other members of the profession through continuing legal education programs.
