About Ron
Ron Maurice founded Maurice Law Barristers & Solicitors and serves as its Managing Partner. He is Metis and has practiced law since 1991, with a career centered on negotiating and litigating specific claims, administrative law, trusts, commercial law, and financing arrangements, as well as mediation and alternative dispute resolution. He represents First Nations across Canada on land claims and Aboriginal and Treaty rights matters, including treaty land entitlements, unlawful surrenders, and Indian Residential School Class Actions, and has appeared before numerous courts and tribunals including the Supreme Court of Canada. Before founding his own firm in 2002, he worked at the Indian Claims Commission of Canada and later practiced at the Calgary firm Rooney-Prentice.
