About Ali

Ali Lew (Schwenk) is an associate whose litigation and dispute resolution practice covers complex commercial disputes. She has a particular interest in public and regulatory matters, family enterprise litigation, and major projects work. She has appeared for clients in numerous courts, among them the Federal Court and the Supreme Court of Canada, plus superior and appellate courts across Ontario, Alberta and New Brunswick, and has taken part in international arbitration proceedings as well. While in law school, she interned with the Barbra Schlifer Commemorative Clinic and was engaged through the David Asper Centre for Constitutional Rights. She also took part in and later coached the Callaghan Memorial Moot. In addition, she served as a research assistant working on casebooks and took on the role of academic advisor, mentoring law students through the Dean's Academic Success Program. She gives her time to the Laws in Action Within Schools program, which uses legal education to help high school students succeed and become engaged citizens.
