About Robert Lanteigne

Rob Lanteigne is a partner at GGFI Law LLP whose work is entirely on the solicitor's side: real estate, business law, and wills and estates. People buying or selling a home, commercial property clients, small business owners and families planning ahead all find a place in Rob's practice, and professional corporations are a growing focus.

Rob's legal career has been spent at GGFI from the start. Articling there led to an associate position in 2015, and the firm welcomed Rob into the partnership on January 1, 2021.

Business partners get a feel for how Rob works from a 2016 column that first ran in the New Hamburg Independent. In it, Rob set out the questions worth settling in a shareholders' agreement, from whether an owner can sell to an outsider and how a deadlock gets broken, to what happens to shares after a divorce, a bankruptcy or a death, and whether arbitration should keep disagreements out of a public courtroom.

Rob grew up in Kitchener, now lives in Dundas, and divides the week between GGFI's Kitchener and Waterdown offices. Outside work there are evening walks and ice cream dates with Rob's spouse, slo-pitch games where any position on the field will do, time on the curling ice, and always a story about the fish that escaped.
