Administrative & Regulatory LawFrancis (Frank) Valeriote practises wills and estates, real estate, business, and municipal and planning law out of SV Law's Guelph office. Born and raised in Guelph, he earned a B.A. in Canadian history and economics from the University of Western Ontario and a law degree from the University of Ottawa before being called to the bar in 1981. He co-founded Valeriote Valeriote, which later merged into SmithValeriote Law Firm and eventually became SV Law, where he served as a senior partner until his election to Parliament. Frank represented Guelph as a Member of Parliament for seven years, serving as Deputy Whip and as critic for Veterans Affairs and for Agriculture, Agri-Food and Rural Affairs. He also spent 18 years on the Catholic School Board, including several years as chair, and has served on the boards of the Alzheimer Society of Guelph Wellington and the Guelph-Wellington Housing Authority. He sits on the board of Skyline Industrial Real Estate Investment Trust and has received the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal and a Coronation Medal in 2023.
