About Raymond

Raymond Boutet recently completed his articling period with Murphy Battista LLP and was called to the British Columbia bar on May 27, 2026. Before attending law school he had a 22-year career in healthcare, starting as a registered nurse at BC Children's Hospital, where he later worked as an educator, clinical nurse coordinator and director, including as senior director of the Maples Adolescent Treatment Centre. During his time at the firm he has spoken to multiple chamber applications and successfully advocated for a client in a residential tenancy board dispute. His medical background allows him to review medical charts to clarify causes of action in medical negligence claims, and he takes a trauma-informed approach with clients. Raymond earned his JD from the Allard School of Law in 2025, an MBA from the Sauder School of Business in 2013, and a BSc in Nursing from the University of British Columbia in 1994.
