About Zhou
Joe Fang practises civil litigation, personal injury and residential tenancy disputes at Chak Law. He holds a Bachelor of Medicine from Peking University and spent eight years in academia researching chemical biology and genetics in China and Switzerland before moving to Canada in 2014 to pursue his law degree at the University of Calgary. During law school he volunteered with Student Legal Assistance and Pro Bono Canada. After completing his articles in Calgary, Joe relocated to Vancouver and has since practised at small, mid-sized and full-service downtown firms, appearing at both the Provincial Court and Supreme Court levels in Alberta and British Columbia. He also has extensive experience before the Residential Tenancy Branch and the Employment Standards Branch. He was called to the bar in British Columbia in 2019 and in Alberta in 2018, and has a New York bar admission pending.
