About Albany

Albany Fitzgerald has been a litigation lawyer with Murphy Battista LLP since 2021, focusing on personal injury claims and civil sexual misconduct claims, including sexual assault and childhood abuse. Before becoming a litigator she worked as a teaching assistant at Simon Fraser University and interned at WorkSafeBC in 2018, experiences that shaped her empathetic approach to clients dealing with accident-related injuries. She also volunteers with Access Pro Bono. Albany earned her JD from the University of Victoria in 2020, an MA in English from Simon Fraser University in 2017, and a BA in English from Simon Fraser University in 2013, and was called to the British Columbia bar in 2021. She is a member of the Law Society of British Columbia and the Trial Lawyers Association of British Columbia.
