About Rachel

Rachel Frankel is an associate at Newman & Company practising criminal defence. Born and raised in Toronto, she earned an honours degree in Criminal Justice and Public Policy, with a minor in Political Science, from the University of Guelph in 2018, then moved to London, England to complete a Bachelor of Laws with Honours at the City Law School, University of London, in 2020. She returned to Canada and completed a Master of Laws in Canadian Common Law at the Peter A. Allard School of Law at the University of British Columbia in 2021, and was called to the Manitoba bar in 2024. Rachel is committed to advancing access to justice, particularly for Indigenous peoples and other marginalized communities in Canada.
