About Pawan

Pawan Rai practises family, criminal, and civil litigation in both British Columbia and Alberta. She completed her legal education at the University of Leicester before pursuing the University of Alberta's Internationally Trained Lawyers Pathway Program, articling in Edmonton and being called to the Alberta Bar in August 2024. After relocating to British Columbia, she was called to the BC Bar in February 2025. She has appeared before the Court of King's Bench and the Alberta Court of Justice on family law matters, and gained further experience in criminal and civil litigation at a boutique Okanagan firm and a family and estate litigation firm in downtown Vancouver. She now represents clients before the Provincial Court and Supreme Court of British Columbia, advising on asset and debt division, spousal and child support, guardianship, and parenting arrangements, and preparing cohabitation, prenuptial, and separation agreements. She is a member of the Law Society of British Columbia and the Law Society of Alberta.
