About Margaret
Margaret Waddell has spent three decades prosecuting and resolving class actions and complex civil disputes at Sotos LLP, acting as class counsel in prominent cases on both the plaintiff and defence side. Her work has spanned product liability, consumer protection, fraud, securities misrepresentation, institutional abuse and professional negligence claims. She also serves as an arbitrator and mediator, with an ADR practice covering corporate and commercial disputes, real estate development, shareholder conflicts and employment matters, and she sits as an adjudicator on the Law Society Tribunal. Margaret holds an LL.B. from Queen's University and an LL.M. from Osgoode Hall Law School, and was called to the bar in Ontario in 1989 and Alberta in 1991. She is a past president of the Toronto Lawyers' Association.
