About Patrick

Patrick Sweeney advises clients on real estate and corporate law matters, regularly representing buyers, sellers, borrowers, and lenders in residential and commercial real estate deals. His corporate work centres on private company mergers and acquisitions, contract drafting and review, and general commercial advice, largely for owner-operators and entrepreneurs. He joined Woolgar VanWiechen Cosgriffe Ducoffe LLP as an associate in 2021 after four years at a boutique real estate and corporate firm. He was called to the Ontario bar in 2015, having graduated from the University of British Columbia's Faculty of Law in 2014, where he won the Thorsteinssons Prize in Taxation II for corporate taxation. He also holds a BCom with honours from Queen's University.
