About Nikita

Nikita Tanwar is licensed to practise in three jurisdictions: India, New York, and Ontario. She joined BSLSC in 2022 and now works across the firm's corporate law and estates departments. Before coming to BSLSC, she was a senior legal associate in India, where she advised investment funds, financial institutions, and companies on cross-border equity deals, venture-debt arrangements, mergers, acquisitions, and employment and privacy matters. She holds a law degree from Amity University in India, earned with academic distinction, and a Master of Laws from Pennsylvania State University. Outside her legal work, Nikita has a postgraduate diploma in animal welfare and sits on the board of PAWS Canada. Her writing has appeared in publications including the Indian Business Law Journal.
