About Jamie

Jamie VanWiechen co-founded the firm now known as Woolgar VanWiechen Cosgriffe Ducoffe in 1992, prior to which he practised commercial litigation at a prestigious downtown Toronto firm. He focuses his commercial litigation work on employment and labour disputes, commercial tenancy issues, and conflicts between partners and shareholders. Over the years he has appeared before every level of court in Ontario and handled hearings in front of numerous arbitrators and tribunals. He earned his law degree from Dalhousie University in 1988 and was called to the bar in 1990, having completed his undergraduate degree at Mount Allison University. Jamie belongs to several professional organizations, including the Advocates' Society and the Toronto Lawyers Association. He approaches each file with the goal of finding practical, common-sense solutions for his clients.
