About Patrick
Patrick Healy is a partner at Weintraub Huang LLP with a broad commercial litigation practice covering contract disputes, real estate, creditor remedies, securities litigation, and environmental litigation. He has appeared at all levels of court in Ontario, including the Commercial List and the Court of Appeal, and has considerable experience in private arbitration. Before joining the firm he worked as an associate at a national law firm handling commercial and professional negligence litigation. Patrick earned his J.D. from the University of Toronto, where he won prizes in Constitutional Law and Public International Law, and clerked as a judicial law clerk at the Superior Court of Justice, Divisional Court, and Commercial List. He holds a Ph.D. in history from Trinity College Dublin, where he also taught history alongside a stint at Oxford. Called to the Ontario bar in 2016, he is the current author of the leading text The Law of Damages, succeeding the late Professor Stephen Waddams, and is writing a book on private law remedies in Canada.
