About Ryan

Ryan Pistorius is an associate at Weintraub Huang LLP focusing on international commercial and investor-state arbitration along with commercial litigation. He has acted for businesses, foreign investors, and sovereign states across the Americas, Europe, and Africa, serving as both counsel and tribunal secretary under the rules of major arbitral institutions such as the ICC, ICSID, LCIA, and UNCITRAL. His practice also touches foreign direct investment, securities and shareholder disputes, mining and energy, and intellectual property matters. Before joining the firm he worked at an investment arbitration boutique in Paris and at Gowling WLG, and in law school he competed in the Vis Moot after earlier winning the World Individual Debating and Public Speaking Championship. He holds a J.D. from the University of Ottawa with a specialization in international law and a B.A.H. in Classics from Queen's University, and is pursuing an LL.M. at Queen Mary University of London. Called to the Ontario bar in 2022, he is a full Member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators.
