About Norman

Norman (Norm) Snyder has extensive corporate finance and securities law experience, advising clients from multinational companies to owner-managed businesses on structuring, governance, financing and going-public transactions. He was called to the Ontario Bar in 1988 and the Manitoba Bar in 1991, after earning his LL.B. from Osgoode Hall Law School and his B.A. (Hons) from the University of Toronto. Norm chaired Taylor McCaffrey LLP as Managing Partner from 2011 to 2021 and previously chaired the Canadian firm representatives within the SCG Legal network, of which he remains the firm's principal contact. He has been selected for The Best Lawyers™ in Canada since 2016 in Corporate Governance, Corporate Law and Securities Law, and was named Best Lawyers™ Securities Law 'Lawyer of the Year' in Winnipeg for 2018 and 2025.
