Civil Litigation & Dispute ResolutionNick Kennedy is a partner with a wide-ranging litigation and advisory practice. Beyond his Indigenous law work, which touches on modern treaty interpretation and the duty to consult, he handles matters in constitutional law, particularly the division of powers, as well as administrative, anti-money laundering, contract, construction, energy and freedom of information law. He has appeared before every level of court in Ontario, the Quebec Court of Appeal, the Supreme Court of Canada and tribunals including the Canadian International Trade Tribunal and the Ontario Energy Board. Nick studied common law and civil law together at McGill and summered with the Attorney General of Ontario's Constitutional Law Branch before spending six years in the litigation department of a large national firm. He is called to the bar in both Ontario and Quebec and speaks French.
