About Neil

Neil Duboff is the managing partner of Duboff Edwards Schachter Law Corporation. He began his career as a bank manager before pursuing law and was called to the Manitoba Bar in 1985. His practice centres on business transactions, corporate structuring, acquisitions and financing, and Indigenous law, with particular emphasis on taxation, trusts, and governance matters for First Nations administrations and businesses. He acts for financial institutions, governments, universities, and non-profits across Canada, and regularly speaks at conferences on First Nations taxation, trusts, and estates. A lifelong Winnipegger, Neil serves as a trustee of the City of Winnipeg Pension Plan and chairs the board of the Saint Boniface Hospital Foundation, and has previously led organizations including the Jewish Federation of Winnipeg and Jewish Child and Family Services. He holds a B.A. (Honours) in Economics and a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Manitoba and is a member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners.
