About Andrew

Andrew Thompson is a partner whose practice is concentrated in general corporate and commercial law with an emphasis on securities. He has handled offerings ranging from small private placements to sub-sovereign issues in international capital markets, and much of his commercial practice focuses on the manufacturing sector, particularly aerospace and farm equipment. He frequently acts as Manitoba counsel for law firms and businesses in other jurisdictions, providing legal opinions on provincial matters related to securities offerings, Manitoba limited partnerships, and large secured transactions. Andrew earned his LLB from the University of Manitoba in 2001, on the Dean's Honours List, and his BA (Hons) from the University of Winnipeg in 1991, and was called to the Manitoba bar in 2002. He serves as alternate chair of the Manitoba Review Board under the Criminal Code and is a past board member of the Royal Aviation Museum of Western Canada.
