About Crystal

Crystal Fafard is a Partner at Maurice Law whose two decades of experience with Indigenous governments and organizations began in 2002, with a concentration in corporate-commercial law, governance, and business development. She has structured major joint venture agreements in the solar, wind, and hydro sectors spanning Ontario, Saskatchewan, and Alberta, and governments have sought her input on renewable energy and Indigenous consultation policy. Since joining Maurice Law in 2015, her work has emphasized Impact Benefit Agreements, consultation matters, First Nation governance, and Indigenous economic development. She also sits on the boards of several corporate and public organizations.
