About Negin

Negin Alavi practises family law and general commercial civil litigation at YLaw's Vancouver office. Her civil litigation work includes letters of demand, settlement negotiations, mediation, and preservation and Norwich orders, and she has appeared before the BC Human Rights Tribunal and the BC Provincial and Supreme Courts. Before joining YLaw she worked for four years as a solicitor and litigator at a full-service business law firm in Vancouver, drafting contracts and writing on technology and emerging areas of law. She previously worked at a support centre for survivors of domestic abuse and helped run the women's centre at Simon Fraser University. She holds a Juris Doctor from the University of British Columbia's Peter A. Allard School of Law (2020) and a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy and English from Simon Fraser University (2013), and is a member of the Law Society of British Columbia and the Trial Lawyers Association of British Columbia. She speaks English and Farsi.
