About Eric

Eric Fleming is an associate at MLT Aikins LLP in Winnipeg, practising litigation. He completed a judicial clerkship at the Ontario Court of Appeal and was set to clerk at the Supreme Court of Canada for Justice Suzanne Côté in 2025. Fleming earned his J.D. summa cum laude from the University of Ottawa in 2023, where he served as a teaching assistant, research assistant, and executive editor of the Ottawa Law Review. He holds a Master of Arts in international affairs from Carleton University's Norman Paterson School (2019) and a Bachelor of Arts with first class honours from the University of Manitoba (2016). Before law school, he worked at Canada's Department of Foreign Affairs analyzing Middle East relations and spent roughly a decade in Indigenous rights and social policy roles in Winnipeg.
