About Nancy

Nancy Virk joined Ryder Wright as an articling student in 2021 and stayed on as an associate the following year. She completed her legal education through the University of Ottawa's French Common Law Program, where she was involved with Pro Bono Students Canada on the HPARB project, served as Communications and Marketing Coordinator and 3L Representative, and worked in the inaugural year of PBSC's Family Justice Centre. She also held roles with the Common Law Student's Society, including a seat on the French Program Assembly and the Elections Appeal Committee, and served as Chief Electoral Officer in her second year. Nancy led the Faculty of Law's involvement with NORTH, a student-run clinic that works alongside social workers and the Faculty of Medicine. Before law school, she earned an Honours B.Sc. from the University of Toronto, majoring in biology with minors in French and sociology. She enjoys cooking, playing sports, and travelling, and mentors young women through Laadliyan, a non-profit that supports South Asian women.
