About Sydney

Sydney Osmar is a partner at Hull & Hull LLP who joined the firm in 2018. She helps clients resolve disputes across all aspects of estates, trusts, and capacity law, including will challenges, dependant support claims, fiduciary accounting disputes, guardianship applications, and capacity-related matters. Sydney also defends estate lawyers facing allegations of professional negligence. Before joining Hull & Hull, she articled with the Office of the Public Guardian and Trustee. She speaks and writes regularly on estate and elder law issues, blogging and podcasting for the firm, and mentors students and junior lawyers internally. Sydney holds a law degree from Osgoode Hall Law School and a B.A. from Carleton University, and has served as a member-at-large of the OBA's Elder Law executive since 2020 and co-chair of the Junior Trusts and Estates Practitioners Group.
