About Mylène

Mylène D. Tiessen's civil litigation practice focuses on commercial litigation and professional liability, representing corporate and individual clients as well as defending individuals in administrative proceedings before independent tribunals. Before becoming a lawyer she was a nurse, working in pediatric intensive care; she articled with Alberta Justice and practiced civil litigation at a major national firm before joining Peacock Linder Halt & Mack LLP in 2008. She has defended professionals including insurance brokers, lawyers, dentists, and nurses before regulators such as the Alberta Securities Commission, the Alberta Insurance Council, the Law Society of Alberta, and the Alberta Dental Association and College, and previously served as in-house litigation counsel for the Calgary Health Region and Alberta Health Services.
