About Michelle

Michelle Mackay assists clients with divorce, common-law separation, custody, parenting, child and spousal support, matrimonial and common-law property division, and imputation of income. She prioritizes respectful, negotiated settlements but has a strong record of family litigation before the Provincial Court, Court of King's Bench, and Court of Appeal of Alberta when needed. Mackay graduated from law school at the University of Alberta, where she volunteered with Student Legal Services and competed in the Gale Cup and Jessup moots, was called to the Alberta bar in 2001, and articled with the firm now known as Bruyer & Mackay. She has taught family law at the University of Alberta since 2003, instructs with the Legal Education Society of Alberta, and volunteers with the Child Support Resolution Office at the Law Courts.
