About Sean
Sean Schaefer is a co-founder of Demas Schaefer Family Lawyers, focusing on divorce, family property disputes, parenting, custody, and support, with adoptions playing a key role in his practice. He worked his way through his philosophy degree at the University of Alberta, graduating with distinction, then attended law school at the University of Calgary, where he was on the Dean's List. He articled and summered at Gowlings in Calgary before moving into family law and eventually returning to Edmonton. He's a trained collaborative lawyer and mediator working toward a Q.Arb designation, sits on the board of the Edmonton Bar Association, and is a member of the Canadian Bar Association and the ADR Institute of Canada.
