About Brooks

Brooks Topp is the founder of Q.E.D. Law, having opened the firm in 2016 after being inspired by strong female leadership at her previous law associations. Born and raised in Alberta, she graduated from the University of Alberta in 2003, having also studied at Grande Prairie Regional College and the University of Lethbridge, and has practised family law in Edmonton for two decades. Brooks has represented clients at all three levels of Alberta court, including trials, though she is equally motivated to find resolutions outside the courtroom given how emotionally and financially taxing litigation can be. Outside of work, she splits her time between the city and the family farm, raising beef cattle alongside her legal career.
