About Karen

Karen Swartzenberger is counsel at McCuaig Desrochers LLP practising in immigration, family law, and wills and estates. In immigration matters she assists clients with permanent residency, family sponsorship, and temporary status, as well as employers seeking to hire foreign workers, while her family law practice covers separation, divorce and property issues. She was admitted to the Alberta Bar in 1983 and is a past director of the Alberta Law Foundation and a former instructor of Immigration Law and Contract Law at the University of Alberta Faculty of Law. She previously chaired the Edmonton Regional Legal Aid Committee.
