About Joanna

Joanna Waldie is a family lawyer who focuses on collaborative practice, believing parties are best equipped to resolve their own disputes when given knowledge and balanced advice. She guides clients through divorce, common-law separation, child and spousal support, custody, guardianship, adoption, pre-nuptial and cohabitation agreements, and division of family farms, and is also an experienced litigator who has appeared before the Provincial Court and Court of King's Bench of Alberta. Waldie graduated from the University of Alberta with a Juris Doctor in 2012 and began her career at a general practice firm in Stony Plain, Alberta, practicing civil and estate litigation, wills, estates, residential real estate, and corporate and commercial law before narrowing her focus to family law. She is co-chair of the Association of Collaborative Family Professionals (Edmonton) and a board member of the Collaborative Divorce Alberta Association.
