About Michael
Michael Yawney is a senior litigation partner at Nixon Wenger LLP, where he has practiced for more than 25 years with a focus on personal injury and traumatic brain injury claims. He has appeared before the Supreme and Appeal Courts of British Columbia and Alberta, as well as in mediations and arbitrations, and also handles estate litigation and commercial litigation matters. He was called to the British Columbia Bar in 1991 after earning his LL.B. from the University of British Columbia and a B.A. in Criminology from Simon Fraser University. He later completed a Master of Laws at Osgoode Hall Law School, York University, specializing in civil litigation and dispute resolution. Yawney serves on the Board of Governors of the Trial Lawyers Association of British Columbia and is an executive member of the BC Brain Injury Association.
