About Brent

Brent Meckling is a senior litigator at Nixon Wenger LLP with more than 30 years of experience in shareholder and partnership disputes, commercial contracts, real estate development, construction, and contaminated sites matters. Before joining the firm he was a partner at a large full-service Vancouver firm, where he acted as trial and appellate counsel in business disputes and regulatory proceedings for entrepreneurs, corporations, and institutional clients. Meckling earned a Bachelor of Commerce with a finance major from the University of Calgary in 1988 and an LL.B. from the University of British Columbia in 1991, and was called to the British Columbia Bar in 1992. He has been recognized in the Best Lawyers in Canada for corporate and commercial litigation since 2019 and has published and presented on environmental and contract law topics for the Canadian Bar Association and other legal education organizations.
